A playful first step into coding: children use picture-based blocks to bring characters, stories and simple games to life.
Suggested starting ages: 5–7 — early primary learners, including Grades 1–2.
These are placement guides, not strict entry limits. We consider confidence, interests and prior experience during the free trial.
No coding or independent reading experience is required. A child should be comfortable tapping and dragging, with a parent nearby for setup and early lessons.
A compatible iPad or Android tablet with ScratchJr installed, plus a laptop or desktop for the live class where possible. Ask us to confirm your setup before the trial; ScratchJr is an app, not a browser-based coding tool.
Projects are adjusted to the learner’s pace. Examples may include:

Use the free trial to meet a mentor, try a beginner-friendly activity, and discuss your child’s experience and learning goals. You can ask about the course, learning format and schedule before deciding whether to enrol.
Classes are arranged around your child’s preferred days and local time. Share your city or time zone when enquiring; we match a mentor and confirm the agreed schedule with you. Families in the US, Canada and other time zones are welcome.
Our published course fees are in US dollars (USD). See the course fees for 1:1 and small-group options.

No. ScratchJr is a simpler app for early learners. Scratch offers a broader set of blocks, including variables and conditionals, for more complex projects.
The official ScratchJr app is designed for compatible tablets. Tell us which devices you have so we can confirm a workable coding and live-class setup before booking.
When your child is ready for more detailed projects and can navigate the interface comfortably, Scratch is a natural next step. Readiness matters more than a fixed birthday.
